The Black Crowes Bootleg Project

The Black Crowes Bootleg Project (TBCBP) is a non profit attempt, by Black Crowes fans across the world, to create Bootleg DVD's of the best quality. All in the spirit of 'sharing the ride' for all of those who appreciate the Black Crowes and their music. The DVD's created should only be shared and traded freely amongst fans and other enthousiast and should never be sold.

I've started TBCBP with another Black Crowes fan to create dvd's with the best quality out there, comparing sources and such. So, if you want to find out what the quality is of the bootlegs I've collected over the years go here and browse the archive by year. But before you do that just now that as for now only Pro-Shot show are featured on the website and I'm not yet ready uploading all the info on all the bootlegs and sources I have.

Cheers!

P.S.

Apple TV hacked!

I've been wondering if I should write about this because I though it would've been world news by now. But it seems that news is traveling slower these days. But within a few days of release the Apple TV has been hacked. I seems to run a modified version of Mac OS X, Apple Inc.'s operating system, which makes it easy to throw on some other software to enable a different video and audio codecs besides standard codecs iTunes support.

So what have these wonderful nerds done. Embrace and feed your local nerds people, they are vital to a healthy hack enviroment! Okay, focus, what have they done? From now one you're able to upgrade the smallish 40 gig hard drive.

You can install all kinds of codecs or play movies in VLC if you don't like frontrow. If you want to be kept up to date just bookmark www.appletvhacks.net.

Cheers

Bracelet Phone

Uhm, how do explain this? Well, I browse and I browse. While browsing I stumble on a lot of things, some interesting some don't. Not that this what is interesting to me to have it is however something interesting in a technical way. I mean if they can build a phone into a bracelet, why don't I have lets say a belt I can call home with? Still this could be a nice give for your girlfriend, wife or both. Look here for more info.

iTower Omega

While having a fever, I've been ill for the last 4 days, I sit at work writing that this might be a good solution for iPod lovers alike. No more regular stereo set, an amp for this, a CD-player for that. Unless retro is your lifestyle I say throw out your amp, tuner, CD-player. Go and buy your iTower.

To Err is Human, to Air Guitar, Divine

Dan “ Bjorn Turoque” Crane

Absolutely fu#*ing brilliant! We all, yes you also, have played some air guitar in our time. Or we still show-off your sweat air guitar techniques, while rocking to the hard and steady beats of our favorite band. Dreaming it was you playing those nasty riffs and sweaty licks. We all have played Air Guitar!

I know that there are championship in playing Air Guitar but I didn't know that they made a film about it. One film I think we should embrace, mimic at work so all your friends can also enjoy the freeing experience of playing some freaky Air Guitar. So hail to new kings and heroes of the Air Guitar.

Go here to view the trailer.

Crap! I'm asthmatic.

So, I have Asthma. Due to a allergic reaction to tree pollen my lungs get agitated and give an asthmatic reaction. Luckily I can be helped by inhaling some other stuf called 'Flixotide'. The freakiest thing is that, I've been using Flixotide for twee weeks now, that my lung capacity has gone up 20%. I never thought it was such a big problem, but now it seems to be.

The video diaries of Molotov Alva - Episode 1

Taken form the website

My second life

In January 2007, a man named Molotov Alva, dissapeared from his Californian home.

Recently, a series of video dispatches by a Traveler of the same name have appeared within a popular online world called Second Life.

Filmmaker Douglas Gayeton came across these video dispatches and put them together into a documentary of seven episodes.

So far I haven't been tempted to sign up for Second Life or SL as avid user use and I think might try it but I won't ever be an evangelic Second Life user. Still this is a smart attempt to bring Second Life into real life. It might even be a commercial in disguise, fanvertising if you will. Lets see if the new episodes develop in a good series. Click here for the first episode.

Weary & Wired - review

Photography by Matt Wignall

I just got a copy of the new album from Marc Ford, Weary & wired. I and will review this funky, hot, greasy, guitar fueled smokey souped up Ford like there is no tomorrow. Okay, I might be blurred by the fact that he's one of my favorite guitarist of all time.

I've thought reviewing it song by song but that, to me, wouldn't be fair. Almost reviewing if it was an album singles wouldn't suffice. That makes come to a conclusion, already? yes already!, that this is an album. Not just a collections of song that sound nice. What I've missed in the last few albums of the Black Crowes I find here. A greasy, southern and sometimes western sound, dirty and rough but honest. Not an attempt to fit in but an attempt to pan out, a glance in Marc musical mind that I find very pleasing.

From a great opener and the fast-paced Featherweight Dreamland setting the tone for the whole record to the closing with funky, jazzy, horns blowin', instrumental straight up The Big Callback. This record shows Marc Ford talent as superb and versatile musician and instrumentalist. My favorites on the album are Featherweight Dreamland, The Other Side, Smoke Signals, Greasy Chicken, Medicine Time, The Same Thing, Running Man Blues, The Big Callback. This album, that's screaming out of my speakers right now is filled with funky riffs, laid back beats and bluesy, screamy and smelly solo's surprising me in every bit. Hats off for Marc 'Fuckin' Ford! Still I can't stop imagining the Robinson brothers regretting the fact that he left the band and, besides the solo's, never letting him co-write songs.

My advice? Buy this fucker! Cheers.

G.R.A.W. 2

G.R.A.W. sounds to me like Grawwwwwww, a state of being knees deep in guts and blubber of your opponent. G.R.A.W. II sounds to me like a double Grawwwwwww, a state of being waist deep in guts and blubber of your opponent. To me it's sounds good, it's sounds like war, I'm ready and see myself screaming Sir, Yes Sir, everytime I start up my XboX 360.

Yes I'm talking about Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, my favorite game, maybe even my favorite game ever, besides Quake III Arena. Where in actuality I'm more of a pacifist I love the strategic first person shooters. And it seems I'm going to have nice week this week because the second episode of G.R.A.W. is going to be out this Thursday =).

That might mean you won't be seeing much of me for the next few days after purchase. Because I will be waist deep in guts and blubber of my opponents.

Okay kids, never fight dirty, always fight fair! Cheers!

I post in bursts!

Uhm, your thinking, huh? Posting in bursts? Yeah, I post in bursts, just as how I like to shoot while playing G.R.A.W. on by XboX 360. What I mean , people have been complaining about my erratic way of posting lately, is that I might not post everyday. But when I do I post at least two or three subjects every now and then. So please, be patient and wait until I post some more.

These days though I have a good reason for not posting so much. The reason which I'm going to announce this week I guess. Cheers!
