This is England

I've seen this movie a few months back and came across it again today. If you have the chance to see it the you really must because it's a good film.

This is England
Its 1983 and school is out. Twelve-year-old Shaun is a lonely boy growing up in a grim coastal town in northern England, whose father died fighting in the Falklands War. Over the course of the summer holiday he befriends a group of local skinheads. With his pent-up rage and frustration, Shaun finds exactly what he needs in the gangmischief, mayhem and brotherhood. He also meets the volatile and boorish Combo, an older skinhead who sees himself in Shaun. Adopting Shaun as his protégé, Combo leads the gang down a hate spewing path that culminates in an irreversible act of violence.

Spiderpig!

I all fairness I believe we as human beings should fill our lives with joy and shouldn't focus so much on all the bad things. We could also learn something from people who just like to have fun. I don't mean that you should go out and party all night but rather just let your self go from time to time and be childish if you must. In that light I would like top show you this clip, this show the reason why I like the character Homer Simpson so much. He's just a big kid!

Cheers

Happy birthday today to all!

Today, July the 18th is a special day because it's Nelson Mandela's, Hunter S. Thompson, Paul Verhoeven, Steve Forbes, Sir Richard Branson, Vin Diesel and my birthday. So lets cheer, have fun, let the alcoholic beverages flow and give everybody you like and love a big hug.

Cheers

SAHIB TERI BANDI AAN

This might seem to be a little freaky, but it isn't. The thing is that The Derek Trucks also performs this song and Derek Trucks literary plays with his guitar what the singer is singing. Really awesome stuff! Click here and listen to Derek's interpretation!

Alive in Baghdad

Alive in Baghdad bring Baghdad to the world via their blog. Because of politics and the fact people just get bored by a war the press is retreating and leaving Iraq. Brian Conley and Steve Wyshywaniuk think that's a bad thing because there are stories to be told and everybody should know what's going on. That's why they give out camera's to the Iraqi and let them tell their story on the Alive in Baghdad blog. Go over and check it out.

To beard or not to beard?

To beard or not to beard? That's seem to be the theme with the Black Crowes these days. Every one has a beard beside the guy on the keys Rob Clores. Does he have some special privileges? Did he loose a bet and has to go around town showing his hairless face? What a shame. How nude he must feel? We probably never know because of the infamous contract every musicians has to sign before being a part of the Black Crowes. A contract of silence, what happens in the Black Crowes stays in the Black Crowes.

Come to think about it, did Marc Ford leave the band because of this? Did his contract tell him he should grow a beard by the summer of 2007? Yes it's all speculation, but it could be true, right? Well above are the pics to proof that almost the whole band is wearing a beard.

Oh, I just noticed that Paul Stacey seems to has lost his beard (he used to own one). Crap! There goes my conspiracy theory. It would be nice to change their name to the Band of Funky Beards or just the Funky Beards.

Cheers

Space Captain

Once while traveling across the sky
This lovely planet caught my eye
And being curious I flew close by
And now I'm stuck here
Until I die
Until we die
Learning to live together
Till we die

I lost my memory of where I've been
We all forgot that we could fly
Someday we'll all change into peaceful man
And we'll return into the sky

Until we die
Learning to live together

Till we die
Live together, yeah,
Learning to live together
Till we die

Quote of the year

The hell with it, I was thinking to call it quote of the day but this is a good quote so that's why I call it quote of the year. Are you ready for it? Hold on here it goes!

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "HOLY SHIT... ...WHAT A RIDE!"

Thank you for your time =)
